Bahlil is not afraid to fight against Ridwan Hisjam to become Golkar Caketum: My school competes

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia register to be a candidate for chairman Golkar Party. He admitted that he would not be afraid if there were candidates other than himself at the National Conference (Munas).

“Apparently, my school of thought, my school of thought is a school of competition. We never give positions and all our positions are competitions,” Bahlil told reporters. after submitting the files at Golkar DPP, West Jakarta, on Monday (19/8). /2024).

Bahlil assesses that the spirit of political dynamics in Golkar is indeed competitive. According to Bahlil, the presence of Ridwan Hisjam as a competitor is not a problem for him.

“Those who are participating in the competition other than me, I think in Golkar’s democracy, it is just normal. There is no need to discuss it,” he said.

Bahlil said that he had been trying to become Golkar Chairman since last year. He admitted that he would participate if there was an opportunity as a candidate for Golkar chairman.

“My efforts lasted 1 year and 3 months, I once told media friends, God willing, if there is a contest in the Golkar Party, I will be one of the participants in that contest,” Bahlil said.

Bahlil feels optimistic about his chance to rise to the top of the Golkar leadership. He says that he got 80 percent of the voting support from the holders of voting rights in Golkar.

“Today I gave my order, I was never a DPP controller, but I was a Golkar DPD controller for Papua Region 2009-2014, and the SK was signed by Mr. Aburizal Bakrie and Mr. Idrus Marham ,” Bahlil said.

“Secondly, I received the support of 469 voters out of a total of 558, which means that it has exceeded almost 80 percent. I also gave a statement that I did not go- into another party by joining PDLT,” he concluded.
