Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia expose the reluctance of large entrepreneurs to cooperate with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). There are even devious ways that are used to avoid cooperation with MSMEs.
Bahlil revealed this in the Signing of the Cooperation Commitment in the PMA/PMDN Collaboration Program with MSMEs which was broadcast on the BKPM TV YouTube channel, Saturday (12/18/2021).
“There is nothing in a country in any developed world that is not done through collaboration. In Korea, in Japan, in China, it’s all collaboration,” he said.
He admitted that he knew the tricks of entrepreneurs or investors who did not agree with the collaboration involving MSMEs. According to him, entrepreneurs are like selfishness alias selfish.
“Indeed, the characteristic of entrepreneurs is that they share their passions, because I was once a big businessman too. Sometimes we are also lied to, ‘Oh, this has collaborated with MSMEs’ even though MSMEs are their own businesses, only using the name ABCD as if as if this is already an MSME,” he said.
According to him, entrepreneurs can no longer play around like that. Bahlil admits that many have asked him to let entrepreneurs choose for themselves.
“I said that the model is not the government that regulates entrepreneurs but entrepreneurs who regulate the government. This can’t be, what’s true is that the government regulates entrepreneurs but the government should not arbitrarily treat entrepreneurs, they must stand up and sit down equally for the progress of the nation’s people and country. This must be done,” he added.
