It’s a new life that begins for Tayeb and his family. His story had aroused great emotion among many parents of Bagneux, last December. While the 6-year-old boy was still hospitalized following an accident at the end of August, he could not return home to his family because his poorly insulated 9 m 2 home in an Adoma home was not adapted to his convalescence, according to doctors.
The FCPE representatives of his Paul-Langevin school as well as those of Rosenberg school, where he was to be educated at the start of the September school year, then launched a petition to help his family obtain social housing. In the end, 23,580 people signed it!
A mobilization, which certainly accelerated the process so that Tayeb and his family, recognized as Dalo priority, finally move into decent housing. Last week, the boy, his parents and his little sister were finally able to put their suitcases in a beautiful T4 of the Étienne-Hajdu residence, in Bagneux.
Support from the city and the prefecture
“We are very happy for him and his family. The petition certainly helped because we were received very quickly by the town hall. With the prefecture, they supported their case well, ”rejoices Coline, FCPE representative of the Paul-Langevin school.
Tayeb was able to find his parents at the end of December but he must still be followed at the Saint-Maurice day hospital where he also follows his schooling. “He is better but he still has consequences”, specifies Coline.
The boy, who had been placed in an artificial coma, was close to death last summer. He had been hit by a car while crossing a crosswalk on his scooter. He was suffering from internal bleeding.
