Indonesian player Elkan Baggott gain confidence to play full-time Gillingham FC 1-0 win over Fylde at Cup FOUR 2022/2023.
Gillingham successfully defeated Fylde by a score of 1-0 in the 2022/2023 FA Cup First Round Replay at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, Kent on Wednesday (16/11) early morning Western Indonesian Time.
Gillingham were forced to have a rematch against Fylde as the previous match ended without a winner as the scoreline ended in a 1–1 draw.
In this match, Gillingham manager Neil Harris trusted Baggott to become a regular again in the centre-back position.
Baggott also managed to match the manager’s confidence by looking solid throughout the game and preventing Gillingham’s goal from conceding.
In this match, Baggott also won the confidence to play the full 90 minutes. This was at odds with two Baggotts in defense for Gillingham, namely Max Ehmer who was substituted early in the second half and Robbie McKenzie who was pulled off in the 67th minute.
Now, thanks to a 1-0 win over Fylde in the replay, Gillingham FC have confirmed they will qualify for the second round of the 2022/23 FA Cup. Gillingham FC then meet Dagenham & Redbridge on 26 November.
