Bek Elkan Baggott get a new contract from Ipswich Town after bringing Indonesian National team qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup.

The new contract is another achievement in the career of the player who was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to this new contract, Baggott had only signed his first professional contract with Ipswich in January 2021.

“The club has the option to extend the contract for another 12 months,” Ipswich added.
In that release, Baggott made his Premier League debut with Ipswich in April. The 19-year-old player is listed as the first Indonesian player to play in the English League.
Prior to joining the Indonesian national team in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Baggott appeared for 90 minutes when he brought Ipswich to a 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic.

“These have been an incredible few days for me and I am delighted to have committed myself to my future at the Club,” said Baggott.
“I want to thank the coach because he has really helped me develop as a player since coming in. I also want to thank the people around me, and close to me, who have always supported me,” Baggott added.
With the new contract, Baggott has a target to get more playing minutes from coach Kieran McKenna next season.
“My goal for next season is to play as much football as possible, whether that’s here or if the right loan opportunity arises,” said Baggott.
