The current unfortunate situation of ramen house owner Lee Dae-dae, who received rave reviews from Baek Jong-won on SBS’s “Alley Restaurant” four years ago, was broadcast.

On the 23rd, an interview with Mr. A, the president of a ramen restaurant, was given on the “Recent Olympics” YouTube channel. In 2018, Mr. A was rated by Baek Jong-won as “This is not a house we will save (with a solution). It’s a good restaurant.”

Mr. A said he could not forget that moment and recalled, “When CEO Baek Jong-won praised me, I felt like I was being recognized for my efforts.”

After the broadcast it became a shop that made a fortune. Mr A said: “I usually go to work at 9:30 with an employee, but there were already customers lined up the stairs in front of me.”

Due to the constant flow of customers, they said they were sorry that there were customers who could not taste their food even though they were in line.

Mr. A has continued to expand the shop and has grown the business. He owned four stores, but bad news came at that moment.

Foot and mouth disease, the boycott of Japan and COVID-19 exploded one after another.

Mr A confessed, “Pork is used in ramen, but at that time the price of pork belly was very high and it was really hard.

He continued, “My income was halved every month. I lost 10 to 15 million won per store per month. Everything I did for 9 years paid off. At that time, only debts remained.”

Mr A said: ‘It felt like a real dream. When I was really having a hard time, I couldn’t see the light. Because of corona, there was nothing I could do, so it was very heartbreaking.’

He had dead skin cells on his head and was losing handfuls of hair, but suffered a cerebral infarction in June.

He said, “I had a brain infarction and could only see the right side of my vision. One day I woke up and the left side was black.”

Due to the subsequent bad news, Mr. A had many bad thoughts. He said, “I didn’t even have the money to buy tteokbokki for the girl I met at that time.”

Subsequently, Mr. A expressed his gratitude, saying that he was able to endure thanks to the staff who helped and guided him.

Finally, he said, “I’ve studied a lot, so I’m proud of my ramen. I’m the only person who can taste this ramen. I’ve come this far with that pride.”

He added, “It’s not the most delicious ramen in Korea, but I hope you come and eat the ramen I’ve been working hard on.”
