Lee Dae-ho, 39, who renewed the contract with the Lotte Giants, revealed Bae Bae’s determination. He expressed his intention to retire after winning Lotte within two years.
Lotte announced on the 29th that “We signed a contract with FA Lee Dae-ho for two years, total amount of 2.6 billion won (down payment 800 million won, annual salary 800 million won, winning option 100 million won every year).”
Lee Dae-ho, who made his debut in 2001, played 1715 games in his personal career, hitting 0.309, 332 homers, and 1242 RBIs. Excluding the overseas expansion period, he is a representative franchise star who has always played only in Lotte in the KBO League.
At the time of the FA contract with Lotte four years ago, a total of 15 billion won was signed. Things have changed now. You are younger and the impact is still there, but it is difficult to expect the same steady performance as before.
Apparently, the contract was not easy this time, after exercising the second FA qualification. There was also a story that there was great disagreement between the club and Lee Dae-ho.
Lee Dae-ho said through the club on the day, “I know that the fans are worried. I am very sorry for the delay in the contract,” and “I am glad to be able to deliver good news before the camp begins.”
He added, “(including two years later) I became a Lotte Man in 17 years. The club has been paying a lot of attention to it. Thank you for being able to sign a contract on good terms.”
“I only want to retire after winning the Korean Series within two years,” said Lee Dae-ho, who emphasized, “I put the winning option in this contract. The option of donating 100% of 100% of the KRW 100 million received upon winning the team to the underprivileged neighbors This is contained,” he explained.
In fact, it predicted retirement after two years. Lee Dae-ho explained, “There was no disagreement over the scale while discussing the contract. The meeting itself was late and (the news) was delayed due to coordinating the retirement period.”
Lee Dae-ho said, “I will do everything I can to win the team. I want to convey all the know-how I have for my juniors. I will do my best to help the manager and the manager.”
