Baden-Württemberg was the wettest federal state in April – dpa


Baden-Württemberg was the wettest of all federal states in April according to evaluations by meteorologists. On average, 90 liters of water per square meter fell in the southwest, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Friday. On April 8th, the highest daily rainfall in Germany was measured in the Lichtental district of Baden-Baden in the northern Black Forest, at 59.9 liters per square meter.

In Baden-Württemberg, the highest and lowest temperatures were recorded in April at the same time. The coldest day in Germany was April 4th with -14.6 degrees, which was reached in Meßstetten in the Zollernalb district. Just nine days later, Wolfach in the Black Forest reported the highest April value in Germany at 26 degrees.

The sun shone for 200 hours in Baden-Württemberg in the fourth month of the year at an average temperature of 8.2 degrees.
