Baden-Württemberg wants nationwide testing for employees with external contact

Customers and visitors would have to present proof of vaccination, test or convalescence status in almost all indoor areas such as restaurants, cultural institutions or fitness studios, according to an application from Baden-Württemberg for the Conference of Health Ministers, which is available to the German Press Agency. “However, there are still no 3G obligations for employees in the respective industries,” according to the application.

A corresponding regulation already applies in Baden-Württemberg

Employers would have to offer employees outside of the home office tests at least twice a week. However, the employees do not have to accept the offer. Especially in the case of professional activities in which the employees have contact with those affected by the 3G obligation, there is “an imbalance in the protective measures”. The application will initially be discussed at a heads of office conference this Thursday and Friday in Würzburg. A corresponding regulation has already been decided for the country.
