Böblingen – Two people were hit by a car in a roundabout in Leonberg (Boeblingen district) and were seriously injured.
The 79-year-old woman and the 83-year-old man crossed a road using a pedestrian crossing, police said on Saturday. At the same time, a car drove off the roundabout and ran over the elderly man.
The 23-year-old driving the car was unhurt on Friday afternoon. Rescuers took the seriously injured pedestrians to nearby hospitals. (th)
