A total of ten people were injured in a serious accident between a car and a bus in the Chalw area. A 21-year-old driver hit the bus on the federal road between Calw and Bad Liebenzell and was seriously injured, the police said. The bus driver, who was 56, was seriously injured.
According to police reports, both men were trapped in their vehicles and had to be freed by the fire department. Of the eleven passengers on the bus, eight were slightly injured. A spokesperson from the police could not say at first if there were children or young people among them. But it wasn’t a school bus.
According to initial findings, the 21-year-old man was driving his car towards Calw when, for reasons that are not yet clear, he crossed the other lane and hit his bus. The federal highway had to be closed for hours. An expert has already been called in to clarify the cause of the accident, he said.
