Highlight of the Seenachtfest: The big musical fireworks display

In 2024, the neighboring cities of Konstanz and Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) will once again stage the magic of the sky, initially in two separate fireworks displays and then in a joint one. This year, Kreuzlingen started with a 15-minute light spectacle. Afterwards, pyrotechnics world champion Joachim Berner fired off his fireworks show from Konstanz under the motto “Stars in concert.” Flashing lights illuminated the sky and could be seen both up in the air and reflected in Lake Constance.

Berner had previously told SWR that he wanted to “fire his way through” music history. And the pyrotechnician actually kept his promise: the colorful fireworks shone not only to songs by Lady Gaga, Sia, Prince and Bryan Adams, but also to the well-known baroque piece “Canon in D”. At the end, during the joint show section of the two cities, “Angels” by Robbie Williams was also included. Enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience finally replaced the banging sounds of the fireworks.

Party area with various DJs

The festival mile along the Konstanz shore stretched for four kilometers: celebrations took place on Seestrasse, in the city garden, in the harbor and in Little Venice. Visitors could only enter the festival grounds with a corresponding entrance ticket.

During the day there were fire shows, water acrobatics, games for children and lots of music. In the evening, the SWR presented “Papi’s Pumpels”, the crazy pop band from Stockach (Konstanz district) on stage in the Stadtgarten. And in the Little Venice party area, various DJs played; the top act after the fireworks was “Fast Boy”.

Already on Saturday afternoon there was a good atmosphere on the shore.
