The main focus of the controls is primarily on the correct compliance with the hygiene requirements and on the correct execution of the tests, for example in the handling of the test strips. But the proper handling of personal data is also checked more closely.

“The systematic review is carried out by an external service provider in order to relieve the health authorities,” says Lucha. “The health authorities will continue to investigate specific complaints about hygiene. It is therefore an additional support. We all benefit from this in the end. “

The prerequisites for the opening of test sites / test centers are in Baden-Württemberg in the so-called “General decree citizens testing“And the associated investment set. The citizen tests themselves are offered by the federal government. The state of Baden-Württemberg – like the other federal states – is not involved in the billing process, and there are no costs for the state. Citizens who have already received both vaccinations in the vaccination centers will automatically receive the digital vaccination certificate by post in the next few weeks. Anyone who has received the vaccinations from their family doctor can go to a pharmacy to have them issued at a later date. The same applies to those who have recovered or who have not been vaccinated in Baden-Württemberg. Medical practices will be able to issue digital vaccination certificates from mid-July. The digital certificate is an additional offer to the yellow vaccination card, which remains valid as an identification document.

The rapid introduction of the digital vaccination certificate is possible in Baden-Württemberg by using the vaccination documentation software of the state esQlab.online from the company Gradient. Once the vaccination has been completed, a QR code is created that users can use to download the digital vaccination certificate directly onto their smartphone after installing a free app (CovPass app or Corona warning app). The vaccination status is checked with the CovPassCheck app. It can be used to scan the vaccination status – similar to the QR code of a flight or train ticket.
