The weekend will remain mild, but from Monday it will be much cooler in Baden-Württemberg. According to the German Weather Service, snow may even fall at higher altitudes.
People in Baden-Württemberg can pack away their winter jackets next week. The German Weather Service (DWD) in Stuttgart expects a change in the weather in Baden-Württemberg from Monday. Temperatures are expected to drop and snow is even falling in some places, said a DWD spokesperson.
Temperatures of up to 16 degrees are still possible at the weekend. But then the high pressure gradually disappears. It will rain for the first time on Monday night, the spokesman continued. Wet weather will last all week.
Snow possible from Thursday
According to the DWD, due to a change in air masses, much cooler air will mix from around Wednesday, with values sometimes reaching below 0 degrees Celsius. At higher elevations this should mean snow from Thursday. But the first snowflakes could fall to the ground at moderate altitudes. According to the DWD, the expected snow is heavily affecting the southern Black Forest and the Swabian Alb at altitudes of 700 meters and above.
