For an unknown reason, a car comes near Karlsruhe on the opposite lane. There it collides with a taxi. With terrible consequences.

Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen – The force of the impact can still be read from the wrecks of the cars. One of the accident cars is standing there without a roof and with the doors open. On the night of Saturday five young people died here – near Karlsruhe.
But how did the terrible accident in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen happen? According to the police, a car with four occupants was on the Ostring towards the end of Eggenstein. The car of a 25-year-old man skidded, turned and got into the oncoming lane. The driver’s side of the vehicle collided with an oncoming large-capacity taxi.
All four people in the car – aged between 25 and 29 – were killed by the strong impact. A 28-year-old passenger in the taxi also suffered fatal injuries.
The driver (56) and another passenger (26) of the large taxi survived with serious injuries. They were hospitalized. The exact cause of the accident was initially unclear. The traffic police at the Karlsruhe police headquarters are now investigating this.
The two destroyed cars can be seen in pictures from the scene of the accident. The front of the large taxi is completely dented, pieces of wreckage lie on the ground, sometimes on an adjacent field. Red lines on the road mark the positions. The police estimate the damage at around 110,000 euros. Both vehicles were totaled. First, the SWR had reported.
