The Baden-Württemberg state government is abolishing the 3G regulation in the retail sector, more spectators are allowed at events and the contact details no longer have to be recorded in most areas. The new Corona rules will come into force on Wednesday 09.02.22.  This was announced by the state government on Tuesday in Stuttgart.

Requirements for data collection are largely abolished

The requirements for data collection by operators and organizers are largely lifted. Data processing is only maintained in individual infectiologically risky settings, such as discotheques and in connection with contact with vulnerable groups. Of course, the use of the Corona-Warn-App remains permissible and is expressly recommended by the state government.

More spectators possible at events

On the basis of the decision of the heads of the state and Senate chancelleries, Baden-Württemberg is raising the upper limits for persons at major events in alarm level I.

In principle, a capacity limitation of 50 percent applies in each case. Outdoors, a maximum of 10,000 people are allowed at 2G+ and 5,000 people are allowed at 2G events. In the closed room, 2G+ 4,000 people and 2,000 people are allowed for 2G events.

Furthermore, fixed seating/standing places must be allocated for more than 500 spectators at these events. A maximum of ten percent of the seats may be standing places. Even for folk and city festivals, the permitted number of visitors increases to 50 percent with a general restriction: a maximum of 5,000 visitors at 2G. A maximum of 10,000 visitors at 2G+.

3G regulation in retail does not apply in alarm level I

In alarm level I, the 3G access restriction in retail is no longer applicable. The FFP2 mask requirement remains in place.
