Ahead of the holiday, data from the Commodity Exchanges and Markets Commission marked an all-time record: 10 consecutive weeks of continuous rise in wholesale food prices, BNT reports.
Eggs have risen in price, followed by sugar and cheese. The price of flour, cow’s cheese and yoghurt is down slightly.
Here are the wholesale prices of some of the main food products as of December 2:
Sugar – 2.60 lev
Eggs – BGN 0.38/pc.
Cheese – BGN 18.00/kg
Cheese – BGN 11.58/kg
Flour – BGN 1.31
Oil – 4.44 BGN/litre
Beans – BGN 4.19
Rice – 2.96 lev
Fruits and vegetables
Tomatoes (in greenhouse) – 3.21 BGN/kg
Cucumbers – 3.20 BGN/kg
Potatoes – 1.17 BGN/kg
Cabbage – 0.84 BGN/kg
Apples – 1.41 BGN/kg
Bananas – 2.75 BGN/kg
Oranges – BGN 1.96/kg
Mandarins – 2.22 BGN/kg
