There are several landslides recorded by the heavy rains of the last few hours on the road network of the Prefecture of Ioannina.
Civil Protection has activated seven machines since early in the morning in order to remove stones and other portable materials from the areas of Pogoni, Konitsa, Zagori and Tzoumerki.
The authorities, both the Region and the Municipalities, remain alert to deal with other problems that may arise.
Problems in the electrification of the whole of Epirus
There are several damages that have been caused to the electricity supply network throughout Epirus. Areas have been without power since Friday night when strong winds swept everything.
Two faults in the network in the Municipality of Pogoni and one in the network of the Municipality of Zitsa, which also supplies villages in Thesprotia, still keep several villages without electricity.
DEDDIE crews have been working since the morning to deal with the problems.
Also, several, but isolated damages, are recorded in the villages of the Municipality of Dodoni, for which crews are also working.
