Evacuation process by air for the helicopter passengers carrying the entourage Jambi Police Chief Irjan Rusdi Hartono suspended temporarily. The evacuation process will resume tomorrow morning.
“The air evacuation process tonight will be stopped and will continue tomorrow,” said Jambi Police Public Relations Head Kombes Mulia Prianto. detikSumatraSunday (19/2/2023).
Mulia said the evacuation process was temporarily halted due to bad weather and darkness. However, the land route evacuation continues.
“Because of the weather and darkness. Land evacuation continues,” he added.
Currently, the helicopter assisted in the evacuation has landed in Merangin, Jambi. A total of three are currently parked in Jambi for the evacuation process, namely, two belonging to PT WKS Jambi and one helicopter from the South Sumatra Regional Police.
“The helicopter is for carrying (SAR) personnel and logistics,” said Mulia.
