Hakim Ziyech finds himself in a bind at Galatasaray. The Moroccan player, who had expressed his dissatisfaction with his status as a substitute during the match against Young Boys, did not find a way out during the summer transfer window.
Although Ziyech remained at the club due to lack of satisfactory offers, he does not appear to be part of coach Okan Buruk’s plans for this season. The latter, keen to preserve the cohesion of the team, would consider parting ways with the Moroccan player.

Additionally, a clause in Ziyech’s contract provided for an automatic one-year extension if he participated in 50% of official matches. According to some sources, the club intends not to activate this option.
Arriving at Galatasaray on loan from Chelsea in August 2023, Hakim Ziyech saw his purchase option lifted for free last summer thanks to contractual clauses. However, despite 8 goals and 4 assists in 23 games, his performances were not really convincing. The performance of the Moroccan attacking midfielder is considered insufficient in view of his high salary.
