jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo provides views regarding the global economy in 2022.
According to Perry, imbalance global economy still continuing due to differences in the ability of countries to recover from Covid-19.
Meanwhile, in 2021, the world economy will grow disproportionately from the pandemic, despite a relatively high increase of 5.7 percent.
“The problem is, this high global economy has grown in two big countries, namely the United States and China, which of course has become unbalanced,” said Perry in the Leader’s Insight BI Public Lecture in Jakarta, Monday.
Perry also estimates that the world economy will only grow 4.4 percent next year.
Because, the pattern of growth of the world economy is not balanced.
“Developed countries can grow faster, on the contrary developing countries are slower,” said Perry.
WITH A said that developed countries could vaccinate quickly, to the point of pouring out fiscal and monetary stimulus on a large scale.
