Trainer Vietnam U-19 Dinh The Nam is said to have fallen ill. He did not lead the team’s training on Monday (11/7/2022), ahead of the semifinals AFF U-19 Cup 2022.
Vietnam will face Malaysia in the round of 4 AFF U-19 Cup on, Wednesday (13/7). But they lost their tactician temporarily due to health problems.
During Dinh The Nam’s absence, the Vietnamese training was taken over by his assistants. Lucky for Vietnam Dinh The Nam was not seriously ill.

“Although the training session went well, Vietnam U-19 was not led by Dinh The Nam. It is known that the coach born in 1965 had health problems,” wrote Vietnamese media report thethao247.
“But the situation is not too serious and he will soon be back with his foster children. During Dinh The Nam’s absence, assistants took his place,” the statement continued.
As for practice Vietnam reported to be running in an unfavorable situation. Several Indonesian national team supporters came to interfere with their training.
Supporters of the national team are known to unfurl banners and chant songs to Vietnam which is considered not to be playing fair play so that the Indonesian U-19 national team is eliminated. Vietnam and Thailand drew 1-1 in the last match of Group A, Sunday (10/7).
This condition had made Vietnam ask for the training session to be canceled. However, Dinh The Nam did not agree and asked for extra security personnel for his team during training.
