The cargo ship “Razoni”, the first vessel that sailed from Odessa with Ukrainian grain, did not reach its final destination in Lebanon. The buyer refused the delivery, as it was delayed by more than five months, reported the Embassy of Ukraine in Beirut, reports BNT.
The ship left a week ago with 26,500 tons of corn on board. According to the July 22 agreement on the safe export of grain and food products from Ukrainian ports, it was inspected in Istanbul and continued on its way.
The Razoni is now anchored off the coast of southern Turkey and the cargo carrier is looking for a new buyer.
The Turkish ship “Polarnet”, loaded with 12,000 tons of Ukrainian corn, became the first vessel to successfully complete an export operation of Ukrainian products. Today it docked at Derince port near Istanbul and will be unloaded tomorrow.
So far, seven ships with a total of 243,000 tons of corn have sailed from Ukrainian ports.
