“If I see the trees, I explode immediately”, Jannie opens the episode of mr. Frank Visser makes a statement. “Such a rotten tree with that shit in my gutters. That annoys me.”
The neighbors in question, Jan and Gina, think that all the complaints from their neighbor make absolutely no sense. They are fond of the trees and think that there is no question of nuisance. Jannie should stop whining about their green garden. “It’s total sheer nonsense,” says Gina, who describes her neighbor as a ‘bitch’, her side of the story. In addition, they accuse neighbor Jannie of “killing” another tree in their yard with bleach.

Jannie is also not waiting for a visit from her ‘bastards’ from a neighborhood. “The problem is the tree, because it always hangs above my roof. (…) That has been the case for years. Doesn’t that annoy you to death? Especially when you’re alone, and you can’t do anything!”
Her husband recently passed away, leaving her on her own now. Jannie says: “For years we looked at that problem. When my husband got sick, he couldn’t do anything about it anymore and now I have a big problem. I’m seventy years old, so I can’t do that either. And I’m starting it too. I don’t recommend cleaning up someone else’s mess (…) They’d better remove them and put down artificial trees, you don’t have a mess with that either. You also have artificial Christmas trees, then this should also be possible. Isn’t it great fun?!”

By now there is only wood and envy between the neighbors, so it is high time for mr. Visser to eradicate this problem root and branch. His conclusion: the trees are being pruned, but otherwise Jannie has to stay away from it.
Perhaps there is a lack of clarity about the ‘bamen’ because of Jannie’s accent, because not only presenter Viktor Brand has difficulty following her, the viewer on Twitter also wonders what Jannie – who clearly did not say – means exactly.
