The Franz Lehár Quartet and guest soloist Susana Schnell will delight guests in the Kurhaus with a festive evening concert on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
The Franz Lehár Quartet, with Zsolt Németh (piano), Edina Luczó (violin), Markus Lechner (double bass) and Matias Pérez (violin), will delight with a top-class program at a festive evening concert on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 7 p.m Clock, the audience in the Kurhaus. The program includes works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Georges Bizet, Jacques Offenbach, Franz Lehár, Johann Strauss, Pasqual Marquina as well as Emmerich Kálmán and Jose Armandola.
For many years, the Franz Lehár Ensemble has been playing regularly in the Kurhaus, in the form of a duo, trio or quartet, thus enriching cultural life in Bad Krozingen. The repertoire fascinates with classical salon pieces, famous Viennese waltzes by Johann Strauss and Franz Lehár, Hungarian dances by Johannes Brahms, serenades, tangos, many Hungarian Csárdás as well as popular film and operetta melodies.
The German-Chilean soprano Susana Schnell could be won as a guest soloist for this evening. Susana Schnell was born in 1982 in Santiago de Chile. The guitar and various South American instruments and membership in several choirs allowed her to get to know the traditional music of her country. In 2000 she began studying the flute at the Universidad Católica de Chile. The fascination for opera and lyrical singing led her to Lucía Gana in 2002, with whom she began her singing studies at the Universidad Católica. In 2004 she switched to Richard Reiss at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg. Since 2006 she has continued her studies in Freiburg im Breisgau with Towako Sato-Schöllhorn, majoring in opera, song and oratorio.
She has been a member of the Theater Freiburg since 2011, initially as a grantee from TheaterFreunde eV and now as a regular member of the ensemble. Here she could be heard in various productions, including Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel” (E. Humperdinck), Papagena in “The Magic Flute” (WA Mozart), Almirena in “Rinaldo” (GF Handel) and many more them to many cities in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Chile. In the 2017/18 season she was engaged at Theater Freiburg as Alice and Miss Horoscope in Kurt Weil’s “Love Live”, as Angel in Peter Ötvös’ “Angels in America” and as Miss Pink in the world premiere of “Coreline”.
The gastronomic part of the event with selected dishes and drinks is the responsibility of the Kurhaus tenant Michael Graubener.
