bad! Juventus Has the Potential to Get a Point Deduction Again

Juventus have been subject to a 15-point deduction law, and additional deductions could come back to them.

Juventus are really in a vulnerable position at the moment. They have received a penalty of 15 points deduction, so that they fall freely in the standings table.

The point deduction was made due to falsification of financial statements. Now, Juventus points can again be deducted by 15 points, due to salary fraud.

Media from Italy, Corriere dello Sport, reported that The Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which investigated this case, requested an additional penalty for Juventus.

The detailed case is that Juventus have made hidden ‘deals’ in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons with players.

An investigation is also likely to be carried out into the players who are included in the deal. Paulo Dybala, a former Juventus player who is now at AS Roma, also acknowledged this.

“We should have received three months’ salary, that statement does not reflect what happened,” Dybala said, according to several Italian media, including Calciomercato, via Italian football.

“The proposal was to give up to four months’ salary, but we players disagree. The deal was that we would receive three more months of salary the following season, and only one would be given,” he said.

When Serie A was suspended due to Covid-19 in 2020, Juventus and its players reached a salary agreement which was described in an official press release as a four-month salary waiver. However, the Juventus players allegedly turned down their wages for four months, which also helped to lighten up the statement significantly.
