It wasn’t just the bands that warmed up the visitors to the Bad Hersfeld Keneipentour “Musik Pur” on Saturday evening, but also the summery outside temperatures.
Bad Hersfeld – The weather gods meant it almost too well with the summer temperatures on Saturday evening for a pub crawl through the eight Hersfeld restaurants.
In front of the “Alten Brauhaus”, the new “Vietnamesischen Eck”, people preferred to sit and stand outside and enjoy the rousing rockabilly rhythms of the “Boptown Cats” with a cool light drink.
However, the pub crawl had already started at 4 p.m. in the “Kaffeerösterei Capulus”, where the boss Wilfried Brähler personally picked up the guitar strings and, with his two colleagues as the “Unpluggers”, offered four hours of classic rock at its finest.
In the “Drunkards” just around the corner, Tony Hudspeth tugged on the six strings and played the best folk rock, which he then transformed into a looping odyssey of sounds with a sliding microphone and total distortion at the very end, late after midnight. And anyone who got too hot inside simply fled into the garden. Things were a little more civilized with Harry in the “Sportler Eck” because “Chris & Me” played classics from the 60s and 70s as a guitar duo. In the “Zigeunerkeller”, on the other hand, the “Wild2Night” went wild with hard, 100% rock and didn’t miss the opportunity to really rock ABBA.
The “Unique” was overflowing at the seams and the guests liked to stand outside the pub to listen to Thomas Rehwagen aka “9Fingers”. At the end he had so much fun playing that one encore followed the next, which earned him great applause.
The sound therapy with rock and pop from “Bettyford” in the “Buchcafé” had an effect, as the visitors stood tightly packed or danced in front of the stage to the brutal rock. And a little air guitar competition was the icing on the cake. It was coolest in the barrel vault of the Havana Bar. Here “Stripped Lounge” played their cover versions and really warmed up the visitors. In any case, the organizer Katja Panitz from “Hart&Saager” seemed very happy because her face was beaming the whole evening. The charm of the pub crawl, as always, lay in the variety of music and bars, you went from one to the other, met old or new acquaintances, chatted a lot, drank a pint or two and relaxed and enjoyed the live music – and all that in the best summer weather at the beginning April.
