San Juan, (EFE) .- Puerto Rican urban singer Bad Bunny was named Artist of the Year by the music platform Apple Music for bringing “Latin music to a vast global audience”.
In a video posted by Apple Music on his Twitter account, the artist assured that this recognition is deserved by “an entire generation” that has helped the rise of Latin music.
“I am grateful for all that I have achieved and all that I have experienced. The Latin music movement has grown a lot. I would never take all the credit or say, “It’s because of me.” No, we are each of us. A whole generation. Our energy and presence are always felt, “she added.
For his part, Apple Music Vice President Oliver Schusser said in a press release that the platform is pleased to “celebrate the successes of Bad Bunny, whose influence in all corners of the culture cannot be ignored in 2022”.
“Watching Bad Bunny go from Apple Music Up Next artist in 2018 to our ‘Artist of the Year’ was nothing short of extraordinary. We congratulate him on his record year and for continuing to bring Latin music to a vast global audience. “
To celebrate this award, Bad Bunny today took care of Apple Music’s “La Formula” playlist, in which he will choose his favorite songs from colleagues like Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, Mora and Jhay Cortés, among others.
