Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Bad Bunny began his long-awaited tour ‘The Most Wanted Tour’ this weekend, which began in Salt Lake City, Utah, but his show caused great controversy.
And during the show the artist surprised everyone by arriving on stage riding a horse, and although he expected it to be something surprising, it did not achieve precisely the effect he was looking for.
On social networks, a wave of criticism came against the Puerto Rican, who was criticized for animal abuse, ensuring that the stage of his concert is not the appropriate environment for a horse.
The tour is based on ‘Conejo Malo”s latest album, Nadie Sabe lo que va a Pasar Mañana, whose cover shows an illustration of Bad Bunny as a cowboy on a bronco.
This is the image that the interpreter of Me Porto Bonito was going for when he arrived on stage with the animal, but the excess of stimuli that can be stressful for the horse did not go unnoticed by his followers and even by civil organizations.
The vice president in the United States of the PETA organization, dedicated to the defense of animal rights, Lisa Lange, offered an interview to Newsweek, where she expressed her concern about the well-being of the horse used in the Bad Bunny concert.
Lange emphasized that horses are sensitive animals that should not be exposed to such stressful environments.
“We are definitely not ‘okay’ with this irresponsible act. Bad Bunny, do you think it’s a good idea to expose a horse to noises, lights, fog and the screams of thousands of people? The horse looks stressed and clearly does not want to be there,” said the activist.
“Please do not include animals in your concerts. They just want to live in peace, and not be used for your show,” she read in a long message on the social network X, which had the support of thousands of users.
Many highlighted the fact that, even when walking through the streets, horses must wear a kind of mask so as not to see the cars and lights around them, so a concert full of screams, loud music, fireworks and smoke It is not the right environment.
Despite the criticism, the Puerto Rican singer found defenders among his followers, who described his act as “revolutionary” and “original.” However, the controversy continues, while Bad Bunny continues without commenting on the matter.
