Police make ‘new’ arrangements regarding even odd on the Jakarta protocol road. If previously it was valid for 16 hours, now odd-even applies 2 sessions in the morning and evening.
The regulation of odd-even operating hours actually returns to the ‘old’ rules which refer to the Governor’s Regulation (Pergub). Odd even now applies to morning and evening.
“Regarding operational hours, we will return to the governor’s regulation. That first Gage applies from 06.00-10.00 WIB, then from 16.00-20.00 WIB,” said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Friday (15/10/2021).
Then, even odd now doesn’t happen every day. Even odd only happens every Monday through Friday.
“For Saturday, Sunday and national holidays Gage does not apply,” he said.
Gage Area No Longer Guarded
In addition, the police also no longer perform oral care even odd. Police are just on guard in the middle of an even odd area.
“So from today onwards, maybe friends will see that since this morning there are no longer any of our members guarding Gage’s mouth, such as at the Senayan Roundabout or at the Horse Statue or in Kuningan and so on,” he explained.
“But we will continue to take action in the middle, there will be our members who carry out patrols and then take action against people who violate Gage’s rules, either manually ticketing or using e-TLE,” he continued.
For manual ticketing, continued Sambodo, his party will match vehicle data so that it is certain that no driver is ticketed twice.
“Of course, every day we will carry out match-ups so that no one gets a ticket twice, either manual ticket or e-TLE ticket,” he said.
To note, during PPKM level 3, the police apply odd-even Jl Sudirman-Thamrin and Brass. The previous odd-even applies every day at 06.00-22.00 WIB.
