We are always inspired by the past: this is exactly what Skoda did by presenting its eVoiturette concept, an all-electric model that pays homage to the Voiturette A.

There are times when you have to think outside the box and let go. This is exactly what did Skoda with its design center at the start of the year. Under the concept the icons are getting a facelift, five stylists have come up with a frankly modern interpretation of one of Skoda’s most iconic models: the Cart A !
Back in 1905
The Cart A is actually the first Laurin & Klement to leave the production lines of Mladá Boleslav in 1905. As a reminder, the two founders initially focused more on motorcycles and bicycles. This tribute is most successful, but watch out for the eyes. Because those who expected to see a replica will be disappointed: first designed with digital techniques, the model eCart was built in… a scale model and all through 3D printing. Its dimensions are 69 cm long, 36 cm wide and 33 cm high, which prevents us from hoping to be able to settle there.
The car was imagined as electric, but it does not necessarily have an engine. At most, the grille has been clad with LEDs which, they work well. This particular scale model is nevertheless visible in the Ferdinand Porsche Birth House, that is to say the house which saw the birth of Ferdinand Porsche on 1895.
