The American science fiction film Back to the Future, released in 1985, was directed by Robert Zemeckis.
The story chronicles the time travel of a teenager, Marty McFly, and Doctor Emmett Brown, thanks to a time machine, made by him. From 1955 to 2016, via 1985, the film crosses the years and eras.
While the film was intended as a single film, its commercial success resulted in two sequels, which formed a trilogy and resulted in the development of many goodies, inspired by the film.
