Kids don’t go back to school until mid-August, but in addition to checking the school supply list, it’s a good idea to check the immunization list.
The Dallas County is hosting mobile clinic events that combine mandatory back-to-school vaccinations with Covid-19 vaccinations for all ages.
It is necessary to bring the vaccination record, and people under 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
This Thursday and Friday, two events organized by the Department of Health and Human Services (DCHHS) will focus on the immunization of school-age children.
Thursday’s event will be in Irving, and Friday’s will be in the Bonton area.
This Wednesday, in addition, there is an exclusive vaccination event for Covid-19, also in Irving.

“Normally we go to places, zip codes where vaccination rates are low,” said Christian Grisales, a DCHHS spokesman.
Students entering school for the first time must provide evidence of vaccination against a dozen diseases, such as tetanus, chickenpox, or hepatitis A and B.

Grisales said the county plans to host more events in the coming weeks.
At the same time, the mobile clinic is looking for people to take advantage of a $25 Walmart gift card for those who receive any dose of their Covid-19 vaccine,
Vaccines against Covid-19 are now available for ages from 6 months onwards.
Similarly, people over 50 years of age are eligible to receive a fourth dose, that is, a second booster, if they have already completed their initial schedule.
The Covid-19 vaccine is not considered mandatory for returning to school.
