Back in the kitchen: Moshik Roth runs a kosher restaurant in Tel Aviv

The senior chef Moshik Roth, who previously held two Michelin stars at his &moshik restaurant in Amsterdam, which was closed during the Corona period, began to lead and manage the culinary line of the Kumran Hachshara restaurant located on Harava Street in Tel Aviv. “I am happy and excited about the connection with Kumran,” he says. “This is a special place with an unparalleled atmosphere.”

This is the first time that Roth will serve as a professional in an Israeli restaurant after he returned to Israel and closed his restaurant in the Netherlands. Although Roth is known for his specialization in molecular cooking style and gourmet cuisine, as part of the collaboration with the Qumran restaurant, which opened about two years ago, he recently built a new Mediterranean style menu for the place, a cuisine with which the place is identified.

“I get to bring to the diners for the first time another perspective of mine, another side that they haven’t met yet,” says Roth and adds: “The food I cook at Qumran is happy food that connects to the locals through fresh, high-quality ingredients and my personal touch.”

The place started serving the new menu in the last few days as part of a run. Among the dishes: sea bream risotto, crispy locust cubes, beef tartare tacos, halvayat in Josper and more.

“The new dishes consist of fresh, high-quality ingredients that Moshik personally carefully selected. Their style is Israeli, delicious and exciting,” they explain on the spot, adding that “this is the first opportunity for the Israeli audience to get to know who Moshik Rot is through his excellent food and no other and new side, which they have never seen in the world.” exposed to it”.

Liran Tsadik, the owner of the restaurant says that “the connection with Moshik was natural and natural”. “We have known each other well for years and now this is our first collaboration.”
