Patrick Dupond, the former principal dancer of the Paris Opera and dance star, died this Friday, March 5, at the age of 61, following a “lightning disease”, announced his entourage . Known to the general public beyond the circle of ballet lovers, he was artistic director of the Ballet de Nancy between 1988 and 1991, at only 27 years old, before moving to Paris. He even said “reluctantly leaving Nancy after 3 remarkable years”. Back in pictures on his passage in Lorraine, in Nancy but also in Metz, during a dance workshop.
