Die BW Linz Amateurs have in the 6th round of the District League East sent a clear message. With a convincing 4-0 victory against the SK Amateurs Steyr The blue and whites proved their strength on the pitch. From the beginning, the home team dominated the game and gave the guests no chance. Mario Kvesa’s performance deserves special mention, as he scored twice.
Lightning start for the BW Linz Amateurs
The match began with a bang. No time to feel things out – the game picked up speed straight away. After a foul on Eldin Midzic in the penalty area, the home team was awarded a penalty, which Mario Kvesa confidently converted (1st minute). A dream start for the home team, which visibly threw the SK Amateure Steyr off their game. In the following phase, the guests were completely overwhelmed by the fast attacking game of the Linz team, who were able to create a number of good chances. The BW Linz Amateure continued to press and showed that they were clearly superior in terms of play. In the 28th minute, there was more cause for celebration. This time Dusan Zuza was in the right place after a corner and pushed the ball over the line. The team went into halftime with this comfortable lead.
Steyr amateurs have no chance
The picture did not change much in the second half either. The blue and whites continued to dominate the proceedings and gave the guests little room to develop. The SK Amateure Steyr were rarely dangerous and found no way to get past the well-organized defense of the BW Linz Amateure.
In the 80th minute, it was Laurenz Heigl who made the deserved preliminary decision – it was the first goal for the young star. The Steyr Amateurs had nothing to counter this and had to be content with the role of spectators.
Mario Kvesa once again put the finishing touches to the game, scoring his second penalty of the day in the 90th minute to make the final score 4-0. This goal crowned his strong performance and made the victory for the blue and whites perfect. Shortly afterwards, the final whistle sounded and the BW Linz Amateurs were able to celebrate a well-deserved home victory.
In summary, it can be said that the BW Linz Amateurs were superior in all respects on this day and left the SK Amateurs Steyr no chance. With this impressive performance, the blue and whites consolidated their position in the table and showed that they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
