Turtle Rock confirms that their spiritual sequel to Left 4 Dead will require internet connection whether you are playing solo or online.
This is how the developers write on twitter Back 4 Blood:
“We’re looking into ways we could support offline for the future but you will need an internet connection to play at launch,”

This statement has of course met with criticism as there are some problems with a game always having to be online to be played. Nowadays, although most people are on stable internet connections, there is also a certain cloud of concern about what happens when the servers are shut down. Today, there are lots of old games that are still played by fans. If we look at it from a historical aspect, it is sad if games simply disappear from the game history because they cannot even be started because the servers have been shut down for a long time.
Now it should be mentioned that the tweet opens up because they might add support for offline games later so the race is not fully run.
