Bach and the Ensemble Pygmalion: the story of a passion and a 15-year intensive study of both the Thomaskantor and the inner drama of the St Matthew Passion. Together with his ensemble, Raphael Pichon worked on this work with precision and seriousness. In his reading, it is about a tragedy in five acts that is both intimate and theatrical, human and metaphysical. At the head of the group of soloists: Julian Prégardien as evangelist.
