Bachenbülach joins the organization FRZ Zurich Airport Region – Business Network & Location Development (FRZ). This expands the core area of the airport region from 13 to 14 municipalities and cities with a total of 185,000 inhabitants. The FRZ reports this.

Bachenbülach, the municipality neighboring the district capital of Bülach, has grown significantly in recent years. The municipality now has 4,221 inhabitants. The municipal council sees membership of the FRZ as profitable for the municipality, the population of Bachenbülach and the entire economic region around Zurich Airport, writes the municipal council in a statement. And the FRZ says that they are looking forward to joining.
Volketswil joined the FRZ last year. The FRZ network is also growing on the corporate side: FRZ Flughafenregion Zürich now has around 750 members from the nearer and further airport region, offering over a quarter of a million jobs. In addition, it is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. (mgt/mai)
