Bachelors in medicine and science: boom in new courses

In these days the universities are presenting to the CUN, the National University Council, the proposals for the opening of new courses graduation. The reading of the data shows a strong increase in degree in medicine and science.

The total number of requests stands at 192 for 2021/22, so it appears to be in line with those submitted last year, when there were 194.

The most interesting data, however, is that relating to the increase in courses in technical-scientific field. The extraordinary health context we are experiencing could have influenced this detail.

While waiting for the training offer for next year to be perfected, some universities are already starting with i Entry test.

The most popular courses: medicine and science at the top of the rankings

Analyzing in detail the proposals put forward to the University Council, the area to which most of the requests refer is that medica: the proposals put forward by the universities are 30. The second area of ​​interest is the historical, philosophical, psychological and pedagogical one: for this area the questions were 26.

Only in third place do we find degrees in industrial and information engineering (25), which a year ago had instead won first place.

If you then go into the details of the individual courses, both the technical-scientific news, with 69 proposals, that the life sciences (52 against 43 the previous year).

The class with the most new proposals is the LM-41 (Medicine and Surgery), ahead of LM-91 (Techniques and methods for the information society).

Down by 6 points le humanistic-social degrees, which however maintain the second position for overall courses. At the bottom remains the faculty of physics, with only one request.

The entrance tests are starting

The universities that have made the proposals are still waiting for the definitive go-ahead by the 11th of this month, but while waiting for the training offer for 2021/22 to be perfected, they have already started programming the Entry test for the next academic year.

The universities had to adapt the administration of the tests to the current safety standards: to Luiss in Rome, the entrance tests will be held at a distance and over several days.

Each candidate will be able to submit his application form by February 8 and choose one of the 10 slots available between 18 and 22 of the same month. Also to the Bocconi in Milan, the spring test session will take place between 8 and 12.

To try to access Medtech, the course in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering carried out in partnership with the Politecnico di Milano, will instead have to wait until 12 March.
