Although Thomas doesn’t like to talk about his feelings, he now opens up about his sex life. For example, he says that ‘once a month’ does not cover the load for the presenter. During his single existence, the former bachelor could therefore behave like a ‘horny and hormonal teenager’. “I used to date a lot. I went out looking for women and sex.” Now he seems to have his hormones a little more under control.

Even now that he is a bit older, he has started to look at sex very differently. “Now that I’m thirty, I realize it’s not all about sex anymore.” The former womanizer says that he now values stability more. For example, he used to be able to ‘envy friends who had a long and happy relationship’. Now with Merel by his side, the winner of Bachelor, Thomas finally knows what it’s like to have ‘firmness’. “We are crazy about each other, we did not see that coming. We are still holding out together.”
The fact that he is now dating one woman does not mean that his sex life has become less exciting. For example, he now openly talks with Merel about their sex life, something he never dared before. “I was too insecure for that. Now that I’m getting older, I’m a bit more relaxed.”

When asked whether the bachelor had sex during the recording of the program, he answers very firmly ‘no’. He does admit that dating a group of beautiful women was not always easy. “Haha, yes, that does have an effect on your libido,” he jokes.
