Thomas starts his first 24-hour date with Maureen. And, as always, the bachelor’s program turns out great. This time he takes Maureen on a luxury date on a boat. Thomas does not let grass grow over it and immediately hands out the first kisses. “I notice that Thomas starts to give more and more kisses and that it becomes more intimate. (…) It’s like being 16 and in love“, says Maureen. Besides their date on the boat, Thomas also has an exciting activity planned. They go paramotor flying while enjoying a beautiful sunset.
Merel also gets the chance to have Thomas to himself for 24 hours. They start their date in a beautiful cenote, where they also dive into each other’s arms after a dip in the water. Their date continues with a romantic dinner, where they propose a toast to love. “I feel 19 again and I feel like the boy in the class again who is in love with the prettiest girl in the class,” says Thomas.

The next day it is time for the rose ceremony and Thomas receives the ladies one by one to hand out his last rose. As with the dates, Thomas starts with Maureen. “Dear Maureen, you are my dream woman”, he begins, after which he and Maureen look back on their adventure together in Mexico. “It tasted like more,” he says. “I think you are beautiful and special. (…) Maureen, I don’t want to let you go. I want to keep you with me.” Unfortunately, there is a “but” after his love speech. “My heart belongs to someone else. I think it’s a terrible choice.” Maureen is disappointed in his choice, but wishes Thomas ‘all the luck’ anyway. At the same time, Maureen hopes that she will receive some more explanation from him in the future: “He calls me his dream woman, but not in the meantime.”
Then it’s Merel’s turn. “When I got to hug you at the mud ceremony, it felt good,” Thomas tells her. “I couldn’t let go of you and couldn’t stop kissing you. And from then on you were in my head.” Visibly emotional, Thomas continues his story. “My search for love ends here, because I have found it and that is you. Dear Merel, I can’t wait to get to know you even better and fall in love with you even more. So I want to ask you: do you want the last take rose from me?” Merel is pleasantly surprised and accepts the last rose from Thomas.
“I really didn’t expect it, but I’m really happy. I’m also a little bit in love and I know I could have said that earlier, but I was so afraid of that,” Merel explains with a smile. “I just love him and I’m really glad I got this rose.” Thomas is also very happy and although he has already shed a lot of tears in the program, this time there were also tears of happiness: “Who would have thought this? I can’t reach it. I am really in love and like never before .”

The very last episode of the season can be seen on Videoland next Wednesday. In the afterthought, all participants are brought together one more time, to discuss their eventful love affair. And of course we get an answer to the most important question: are Merel and Thomas still together?
