Job Description:
As the development center of Caterpillar Inc., we construct wheeled excavators and handling machines in the 13-60t weight class.
Mission / Tasks
The mechatronics course combines the classic engineering sciences of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering/electronics and information technology and is designed for the development of innovative technical products. During the training you will learn:
- Installation and assembly of mechatronic machines and systems
- Measuring and checking electrical variables
- Installing and testing hardware and software components
- Construction and testing of electrical and hydraulic controls
- Programming, commissioning and maintenance of mechatronic systems
- Assembly of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components into machines and systems
requirements
- General higher education entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification (training in technology) with a good average grade (at least 2.5)
- Good performance, especially in math, physics and computer science as well as good written and spoken German and English skills
- Pronounced interest in all facets of technology: mechanics, control and electrical engineering
- Good spatial imagination and manual dexterity
- High level of commitment and initiative

We offer you well-founded training combined with practice-oriented studies at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Regensburg. With the combined degree, you will have two degrees after only 4.5 years: Mechatronics technician and Bachelor of Engineering (mechatronics).
