The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, assured today that “under no circumstances” can a vaccine be forcibly administered, at a time when several countries are considering mandatory vaccination to face the new waves of COVID -19.
In a seminar on good practices and access to vaccines and treatments, the high commissioner stressed that if compulsory vaccinations are imposed, they must be applied with certain flexibility and certain exceptions, for example in people for whom the drug is contraindicated.
