Bac Ninh wants to cooperate with the United States in the semiconductor industry

Secretary of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Bac Ninh always wishes to promote friendly and cooperative relations with localities, associations and organizations in the United States. The Semiconductor Industry Association of the United States is oriented and interested in expanding investments in Vietnam. This matches the development trend of Bac Ninh as the province focuses on the development of high-tech industry.
John Neuffer claimed that in the United States, the semiconductor industry is developing dynamically, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnam already has experience in this area and the United States wishes to cooperate to invest there.
John Neuffer suggested that Vietnam in general, and Bac Ninh, in particular, should not only promote assembly, but also move towards chip design, an extremely promising area. He highlighted that Vietnam is a particularly attractive market for cooperation and development of the semiconductor industry.
Bac Ninh currently has 16 industrial parks with 24 investment projects. The province has authorized more than 2,000 projects with a total investment fund of more than 24 billion USD from 40 countries and territories (ranking 7th in terms of investment fund attraction).
The United States has 19 investment projects with a total investment fund of 664.31 million USD.
