Three people were shot and injured at a baby shower in Pennsylvania on Saturday night after an argument over gifts, the Lower Burrell Police Chief said.
The baby shower turned into a tragedy! In the town of Lower Burrell in Pennsylvania, police were called in following a shooting at a fire station, reports CNN.
“It was not an active shooting event, but rather an isolated family incident at a baby shower,” Lower Burell Police Chief John Marhefka said at a press conference. The origin of the shots? Family argument over baby shower gifts. It escalated into a brawl and then gunfire when the “suspect introduced a nine-millimeter semi-automatic handgun” and fired three shots into the crowd of around 25 friends and family.
Three people were injured in the shooting: a 23-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested by police. He was in place in police custody.
