Incredible event in Brazil: At the funeral of little Kiara S., her family suddenly noticed that the baby’s hand was moving in the coffin. The “Sun” reports that the child had been declared dead a few hours earlier at the Faustino Riscarolli Hospital in Correia Pinto. The father, Cristiano S., experienced a brief moment of hope when his daughter clutched the finger of a family member.
Child was pronounced dead twice
According to The Sun, doctors initially confirmed that Kiara had no pulse and was not breathing, but another team of doctors later diagnosed a weak heartbeat. However, an electrocardiogram showed no electrical signals and the child was again pronounced dead.
An investigation by the Brazilian Criminal Police is underway to clarify the exact circumstances. The city of Correia Pinto expressed regret and promised a full investigation within 30 days. “All health personnel are constantly trained and monitored,” the Sun quoted the city as saying in a statement.
