According to the results obtained after counting 80% of ballots, 36.72% of Czechs voted for Babis, while 33.73% of voters supported Pavel.
The third leading candidate, former university rector and economics professor Danushe Nerudova, who, according to polls, had hopes of entering the second round, won only 13.79% of the vote.
