Rahman Baba sent his first message after his serious injury in PAOK’s cup rematch with Panathinaikos. The Ghanaian full-back spent the night in hospital to undergo tests, as he lost consciousness after being marked by Giorgos Vagiannidis.
The tests did not show anything alarming and Baba was discharged and returns to Thessaloniki. The 30-year-old defender thanked the PAOK crowd for the messages of support as well as Vagiannidis in a post:
“Hello, I wanted to thank you all for your interest and well wishes over the past 12 hours. Luckily I’m recovering well and haven’t taken too much damage. I also want to say a big “thank you” to Giorgos Vagiannidis for taking care of me personally in the hospital. It was a tough night, but I’ll be running up and down again soon.”
