The Baalbek-Hermel Parliamentary Bloc considered that “the presidential elections are extremely important for Lebanon’s transition to the safe side, and that dialogue between the various Lebanese parties is the way to achieve these elections, which lead to the formation of a government that functions to preserve stability and civil peace and to guarantee the interests of the Lebanese”.
In a statement, the bloc condemned, after its periodic meeting in its office in Baalbek, led by Representative Dr. Hussein al-Haj Hassan, “the aggressive policy of the White House administration and its punitive measures imposed on Lebanon and to its people, in order to subject this country to whatever it wants to achieve the Zionist goals that are always working to weaken Lebanon and dismantle its elements of power”.
He called on “partners at home not to respond to any external, international and regional dictates”, underlining “the need for unity and considering the national interest as an absolute priority in order to lose opportunities for Lebanon’s enemies”.
He also called on those concerned in the state “to pay the necessary attention to the necessities of life, especially medicine and food, and to quickly limit the manipulation of the dollar exchange rate, which is reflected in a crazy increase in the prices of basic materials which citizens need on a daily basis”, underlining “the need to protect the Lebanese workforce from unfair competition”. And the need to monitor the work and policies of the UNHCR and suspected donors”.
And he called on “interested ones in the state and the Ministry of Energy and Water to free Lebanon from the catastrophe of darkness and the need to improve equitable power supply in all regions, especially in Baalbek governorate -Hermel”.
And emphasizing “the need for the security agencies concerned to continue their work to maintain security and stability”, he drew the attention of these agencies and the judiciary “to the need for rigorous process and accountability, especially for those who they cause corruption, vandalism, and crime, and deterrent punishment against them.”
The block extended its “highest regards and blessings to the souls of the two martyrs, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Hajj Abi Mahdi Al-Muhandis, on the occasion of the third anniversary of their martyrdom and their companions”, and saw “the their great sacrifices in pushing for the liberation of the nation and its holinesses on the way to the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem”, calling “to follow in their footsteps and in the footsteps of all the martyrs with loyalty”. most atrocious and barbaric attacks”.
